[Washington, DC] (January 30, 2010) – The Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association (ARMA) is pleased to announce its slate of elected officers and Executive Committee members for 2010-2011.

ARMA’s current president Sheree L. Bargabos, President, Roofing and Asphalt, Owens Corning, Toledo, Ohio was elected for a second term of office. Bargabos also serves on the ARMA Executive Committee and the ARMA Board of Directors. “It’s a privilege to serve as president of ARMA for a second term of office. During my first term, ARMA saw the decline of the economy and housing market, which greatly impacted the building community nationwide. Now is the time for ARMA and its membership to remain steadfast in maintaining the value proposition of asphalt roofing for building owners,” commented Bargabos.

Bargabos and the other elected ARMA officers and Executive Committee members will serve for a two-year period from January 1, 2010 – December 31, 2011. Steve Ratcliff, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tarco in Little Rock, Arkansas was elected Vice President. Fred Stephan, Vice President and General Manager Roofing Systems Group of Johns Manville Corporation in Denver, Colorado was elected Secretary-Treasurer.

Robert B. Tafaro, President and CEO of GAF Materials Corporation in Wayne, N.J., was re-elected chairman of the ARMA Executive Committee and as a member of the Board. Other ARMA members elected to the Executive Committee include Sheree L. Humphreys, President / CEO, TAMKO Building Products, Inc., Joplin, Missouri; David Koschitzky, President, IKO Productions, Inc., Toronto, Ontario, Canada; David J. Lucchetti, President / CEO, PABCO Roofing, Pacific Coast Building Products, Rancho Cordova, California; Steve A. Ratcliff, President & CEO, Tarco, Little Rock, Arkansas; and Fred Stephan, Vice President / General Manager Roofing Systems Group, Johns Manville Corporation, Denver, Colorado.

In related actions, ARMA appointed the 2010-2011 chairs of the Association’s four standing committees. Tim Kersey, Manager, Technical Development, Siplast Incorporated, Arkadelphia, Arkansas is chairman of the low-slope roofing committee. Lou Hahn, Vice President, Technology Center, GAF Materials Corporation, Ennis, Texas is chairman of the steep-slope committee. Lynn Picone, Senior Product Manager, GAF Materials Corporation, Wayne, N.J. is communications chair. Bob Hockman, Director Environmental Management, TAMKO Building Products Inc., Joplin, Missouri, is chairman of the health, safety and environment committee.
