The Newly Redesigned ARMA Web Site: A One-Stop Resource for Asphalt Roofing Information

Revamped site features design tips, tech bulletins and building industry updates

New York (June 19, 2006) – The Asphalt Roofing Manufactures Association’s Web site now provides several new features, making it a quick and easy guide for contractors and homeowners, as well as manufacturers and suppliers in the roofing industry. The site is a new design that has been formatted to facilitate ease of navigation, and can be found at

As a result of the numerous inquiries ARMA has received, the Web site now easily connects consumers directly to manufacturers and suppliers. The membership listing includes hyperlinks to the Web sites of all ARMA member companies. Visitors to the site are also kept up to date on trends and innovations with the “Latest Headlines” feature, conveniently positioned on the homepage.

"Through our new Web site design, we can give suppliers, contractors, building and code officials, and consumers the latest information on asphalt roofing, materials and practices all in one place,” said Russell Snyder, executive vice president of ARMA.

Other special features include a photo gallery, frequently asked roofing questions, information on the benefits and applications of asphalt shingles and an “Ask the Experts” function. A separate section on the homepage highlights the recently formed Quality Asphalt Roofing Council (QARC), an educational initiative focusing on built-up roofing and modified bitumen roofing products, under the direction of ARMA. In addition, ARMA’s technical bulletins can be downloaded from the site. The bulletins offer clear, concise information on maintenance, repair, installation and weather-related topics affecting residential and commercial roofs.
